Visit the library and get a card.
Look at the finance section. It will be full with books on these subjects.
My favorites: are the dummies series and the idiots series
financing for dummies is good, but you will also need to read books such as
mortgages for dummies, bankruptcies, investing, credit repair for dummies, etc

if the notes are there and they apply as written, there's no makin em go away....they

are legit; if you have screwed up your credit history, its going to take a very long time

to get it back in order. C Repair? biggest joke going..people somehow think they can

pay some outfit 10% of what they owe someone and make ti all go away.....it doesnt work

that way by any stretch of the imagination. You need to retire the bills..the collections or whatever

is out there to move towards getting a new start or cleaner slate to begin with. the notes on the

file are true n accurate?....then there's no disputing what they say....if there's a mess to be cleaned

up, then get started on it cuz it will haunt you for years to come/not good

There are no reputable credit repair companies. Read up at the Federal Trade Commission web site for tips on filing credit report disputes, keeping in mind you can't legally force anyone to delete true and accurate information:

There is no way to remove legitimate negatives from your credit report. Credit repair companies are a scam. They use the ole "dispute everything and hope something falls thru the crack" method. If something does fall thru the crack, it is likely to show back up when the creditor next updates or the debt is sold to another collection agency.

Multiple disputes for legitimate items will get you tagged by the credit bureaus and you might find it difficult to get real errors fixed in the future.

You will just have to wait out the 7 year reporting period for those derogatory items to age off.

You should concentrate on rebuilding your credit. You need at least 24 months of consistent, on time payment history to improve your score.
